Llanfihangel Community Council
A meeting was held on the 18th March 2026
Present were Helen Jones (chairperson), Llyr Jones, Eryl Evans, Arwyn Ellis, Cll Gwennol Ellis, apologies from Generys Roberts and Gethin Jones.

The minutes were reed and signed as correct.

Declaration of interest - None

Correspondence
1. One Voice Wales - annual subscription fee £42.00 was paid.
2. Cerrig y Drudion School – letter of thanks for the donation of £50.00 (the use of electricity for the Christmas tree from Dewi and Haf)
3. Clwyd Wood – invoice for the plant tub for the Christmas tree at the Church. £195.60 was paid.
4. Clerks wages - £2,550.60 was paid.
5. HSBC = at the end of February £3,126.29.
6. Cll Gwennol Ellis report – the Crown Bridge – work in the river will commence in September with the closure of the road (date to be noted.) It was noted that Council tax will rise this year by 6.5%. The skip outside 14 Bro Alwen will be removed this week.
7. Community Skip - date of next skip 9th of May 2026.
8. Childrens Play Area by the Gro - a meeting will take place with David Dudley from Conwy Council and Mark Roberts and councillors to discuss adding more childrens playing equipments at site.
9. Village Plant pots - the clerk to re fill as required
10. Parking of vehicles at Bro Alwen Car Park – letter sent to the owner of vehicles to ask kindly to remove the cars off site.
11. Conwy B Council – the clerk to report the pot holes by Bryn Deiol cattle grid.
12. Railings at the Church – it was noted that the railings need painting – clerk to make arrangement to have two quotes and apply for grant from Elusen Cymunedol
Llanfihangel for funding.
13. Elusen Cymunedol Llanfihangel – a grant received for the Christmas tree and the pot at the Church £332.08.
14. Conwy B Council - statement for the public conveniences rates - Nil.
